Sam Marx

Assistant Coach at Bingham High School

Since I was a little kid I fell in love with the game of baseball and all of the incredible qualities and lessons that come with it. It truly is the greatest game on earth.

I pitched for Layton High School from 2014-2017, lettering 3 out of the 4 years I was apart of that amazing program. After graduating in 2017, I jumped right into coaching at Layton High School giving back to the program who shaped me into who I am today. I was incredibly lucky to spend 4 years coaching under Head Coach Robert Ferneau as the Pitching Coach and Head JV Coach. During this time I was very fortunate to be a part of a Region Championship, an American Legion State Championship, and an American Legion Northwest Regional Championship.

After accepting a teaching position that required a relocation to the Salt Lake Valley, I joined the Bingham High School Coaching Staff in the 2023 season. Under the leadership of Head Coach Joe Sato, I was able to continue learning about this amazing game and how to make a positive impact on others. During this time I was able to be a part of a deep playoff run that included a Regional and Super Regional win that led to a final 6 finish.

I absolutely love working with kids and helping them navigate through life while learning so many incredible lessons through this wonderful game. I hope to continue coaching for as long as I possibly can to help make an impact on future generations producing positive contributors to society.
